"Trailer Park Boys" star Michael Smith is in a correctional facility after witnesses say he stifled a lady at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel.
Sources at The Roosevelt tell TMZ ... Smith, who plays Bubbles on the Netflix appear, was with a female companion early Friday morning when they got into a contention in the bathrooms by the pool. We're told visitors said it seemed like the yelling was over who Smith had been messaging.
Our sources say they heard the lady shout, "you're gagging me" and when they kept running over ... they saw Smith sticking the lady up against the restroom divider. Smith shot and cops were called.
Law implementation says Smith was reserved for crime household battery, and discharged a couple of hours after the fact. We've contacted a rep for the performer ... as such, no word back.
